| At the Advanced Computational
Research (ACoR) Lab we develop novel, robust and reliable
computational technology including generalized finite element
and meshfree methods as well as multiscale computational
techniques to solve challenging and high-impact problems in engineering,
medicine and biology. We have a highly interdisciplinary research
program with projects ranging from surgical simulation and
computational modeling of cancer radiation therapy to quantitative
tissue engineering and multiscale computation of composites. Our work has received
considerable media attention ranging from newspapers, well-known
magazines such as Wired News, PC Magazine, etc. to the Daily
Planet show of the Discovery channel. |
